Tasmanian Regional Arts (TRA) is the peak organisation for regional

UP -
arts up is a service of arts@work, an agency of Arts Tasmania through
the Department of Tourism, Parks, Heritage and the Arts. Established
in 1997 by the Salamanca Arts Centre Inc and run by arts@work since
early 2002, its aim is to provide support for individual artists and
arts organisations or networks which do not have a funded administration
infrastructure.
AUSTRALIA COUNCIL
FOR THE ARTS -
The Australia Council is the Australian Government's arts funding
and advisory body. It directly supports young, emerging and established
artists, as well as new and established organisations.
AUSTRALIA BUSINESS
ARTS FOUNDATION -
The Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) is a Commonwealth-owned
company, operating at arm's length from the Government. It is supported
by the Commonwealth through the Cultural Development Program of the
Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.
AbaF's mission is to increase private sector support for the arts.

Artbank is a fully self-funding art rental program of the Australian
Government Department of Communications, Information Technology and
the Arts which was established in 1980 to reinvest its revenues back
into Australian art and culture.

- AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR CRAFT AND DESIGN -
Since its formation in 1964, Object has supported craft and design
practitioners, growing and adapting as an organisation to meet the
needs of a changing and increasingly diverse craft and design sector.

The ACMP is committed to the development and promotion of professional
photography. It provides members with an understanding of the more
complex issues of professional photography such as copyright re-usage,
contracts, sales tax, legal protection, digital imaging. insurance,
standard terms and conditions.
ARTISTS ALLIANCE (NEW ZEALAND) -
Artists Alliance is a membership based organisation established in
1991 as a not-for-profit incorporated society to represent and advance
the professional interests of visual artists in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
ARTSOURCE (WA) -
The peak membership body for WA visual artists, artsource offers an Employment and Referral
agency with a comprehensive onlinedatabase as well as Studio, Regional + Indigenous development
programs. Artsource's goal is to expand and improve the sustainability of the sector.
AUSTRALIAN GRAPHIC
DESIGN ASSOCIATION (AGDA) -
The national association for professional graphic designers. It was
founded in 1988 to facilitate the advancement of the graphic design
profession in Australia.
CRAFT AUSTRALIA -
Craft Australia is the national advocacy organisation representing
professional Australian craft and design at a national and international
level. The organisation has been celebrating the achievements of Australian
professional craft practice for over thirty years.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE VISUAL ARTS (NAVA) -
Established in 1983, NAVA is the peak body representing the professional
interests of the Australian visual arts and craft sector through advocacy,
representation and service provision
ARTWORKERS
ALLIANCE (QLD) -
Artworkers was established in 1986 to address the professional and
financial concerns of visual artists. Artworkers offers a comprehensive
range of services to promote professional development and facilitate
employment opportunities for artists and artworkers.

The Arts Law Centre of Australia is the national community legal
centre for the arts. Arts Law is a not for profit company limited
by guarantee which was established with the support of the Australia
Council in 1983 to provide specialised legal and business advice
and referral services, professional development resources and advocacy
for artists and arts organisations.

COPYRIGHT COUNCIL
An independent not for profit organisation. The ACC provides information
on all aspects of copyright in Australia for the benefit of copyright
owners and creators.

The Department provides strategic advice and professional support
to the Australian Government on a wide range of significant and

CENTRES) -
Desart Inc. provides support services to Central Australian Aboriginal
Art Centres and in doing so, fosters and supports their aims for community
development, cultural maintenance and economic growth, acting as an
advocate for the rights and welfare of Central Australian Aboriginal
Artists, whilst respecting indigenous social and cultural protocols.
ANKAAA (ASSOCIATION
OF NORTHERN, KIMBERLEY & ARNHEM ABORIGINAL ARTISTS) -
ANKAAA represents over 2,500 Artists from 32 art and craft centres
located in the Tiwi Islands and the Darwin/Katherine, Kimberley, and
Arnhem Land regions.

INSTITUTE OF ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER STUDIES (AIATSIS)

AIATSIS is an independent Commonwealth Government statutory authority
devoted to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies. It is Australia's
premier institution for information about the cultures and lifestyles
of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
CENTRAL AUSTRALIAN
ABORIGINAL MEDIA ASSOCIATION (CAAMA) -
By remaining a world leader in Indigenous media and enterprise, CAAMA
continues to put real political, social and economic power into the
hands of the entire Aboriginal community. The fact that it is Aboriginal
owned, operated and controlled is a source of pride for the Aboriginal
peoples of Australia.

ARTISTS AGENCY -
A service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists
to create income from reproduction of works of art.
BOOMALLI
ABORIGINAL ARTISTS CO-OPERATIVE -
With a current Artist membership of 70, Boomalli artists work in a
range of mediums producing thought provoking, stimulating, imagery
that continues to re-establish their artistic lineage and importantly,
the history of Aboriginal people in Australia.
BUKU-LARRNGGAY
MULKA CENTRE -
The artists of this Centre have established a world wide reputation
for excellence and have won seven prizes in the last six Telstra National
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (Australia's premiere
indigenous art prize held at the Northern Territory Museum and Art
Gallery in Darwin each year).
BULA'BULA
ARTS ABORIGINAL CORPORATION -
The name Bula'bula was selected in 1989 by local artists for their
co-operative as it refers to the message embodied in the song-cycle
of Garrtjambal's journey from Roper River to the Ramingining region.
More literally, Bula'bula translates as the tongue, or voice of the
kangaroo.
ERNABELLA
ARTS INC. -
Ernabella Arts is thought to be the longest continually running Aboriginal
art centre in Australia and 1998 was the year of its 50th anniversary.
MANINGRIDA
ARTS AND CULTURE -
Maningrida Arts & Culture is a community based Aboriginal Arts
organisation located in north-central Arnhem Land which promotes the
cultural assets, both artistic and knowledge based, of the Aboriginal
people of the Maningrida region through the documentation and marketing
of art of high quality and cultural integrity.
NGUKURR
ARTS -
The Ngukurr Arts enterprise is a venue for artists to work, and to
display their paintings for sale. It is a program run through Yugul
Mangi CDEP (Community Development Employment Program).
SANDOVER
ART (URAPUNTJA ARTISTS & ARTISTS OF AMPILATWATJA) -
Established in 1999, the Artists of Ampilatwatja has provided the
community with the means to increase economic opportunities, while
at the same time reinforcing the value of the Alywarr peoples' culture.
WARINGARRI
ABORIGINAL ARTS -
Waringarri Aboriginal Arts is the first wholly aboriginal owned art
centre established in the east Kimberley region. Many famous artists
have emerged through Waringarri including Queenie McKenzie, Rover
Thomas and Paddy Carlton presenting an aesthetic that is significantly
an east Kimberley style.
WARLAYIRTI
ARTISTS -
Warlayirti Artists is an artists run and owned cooperative, located
in the small community of Balgo, Western Australia. Bordered by the
Tanami Desert on the east, the Great Sandy Desert to the south and
the foothills of the Kimberley to the north, Warlayirti Artists was
established in 1989.
WARLUKURLANGU
ARTISTS ABORIGINAL ASSOCIATION -
Representing over 160 Warlpiri and Anmatjerre artists, the art centre
specialises in the production of a wide range of acrylic paintings,
large commissions and traditional ground installations. The Warlukurlangu
Artists are renowned for their diversity and use of colour while maintaining
the cultural integrity of their work.
WARMUN ART
CENTRE -
Warmun Art Centre was established in 1998 by leading artists of the
Warmun (Turkey Creek) community. The Centre is wholly owned and managed
by the Warmun community, with 100% of income from all sales made at
the Art Centre returned back to the community.

CISAC
(INTERNATIONAL CONFEDERATION OF SOCIETIES OF AUTHORS AND COMPOSERS)
CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and
Composers, works towards increased recognition and protection of
creators' rights. As of 2004, CISAC numbers 207 authors' societies
from 109 countries and indirectly represents more than 2 million
creators within all the artistic repertoires: music, drama, literature,
audio-visual works, graphic and visual arts. CISAC was founded in
1926 and is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation. Its headquarters
are in Paris, with regional offices in Budapest, Buenos Aires and
Singapore.

(INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF REPRODUCTION RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS)
The International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations
(IFRRO) is an independent organisation established to foster the
fundamental international copyright principles embodied in the Berne
and Universal Copyright Conventions.
WIPO
(WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANISATION)
With headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, WIPO is one of the 16
specialized agencies of the United Nations system of organisations.
It administers 23 international treaties dealing with different
aspects of intellectual property protection. The Organisation counts
182 nations as member states.
